The Fort Gordon Army Recreation Center, located on beautiful Lake Thurmond, serves as a recreational retreat for soldiers and their families from nearby Fort Gordon. Facilities at the recreation center include a small motel, cottages, cabins and campsites. Fort Gordon is a popular recreational area that offers fishing on Lake Thurmond, camping, boating and hiking.
IWS was asked to design and construct a new, Orenco treatment system utilizing some of the existing tanks and equipment in order to save costs. The Clement Group, contractor for Fort Gordon, selected IWS to complete the project due to our in-house design experience and our ability to implement a fully functioning treatment system in a short amount of time since Fort Gordon needed to upgrade their system in time for Spring vacationers.
